Mike began his career in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, obtaining his first real estate license in 1975 in order to utilize it to buy and sell investment properties. After making several relocation moves (working for a large pharmaceutical company), he attained his second license in North Carolina in 1994, doing all of this on a part time basis. Mike was able to provide all three of his daughters a significant college education all because of the successful management of his investment property portfolio (at one time, managing over 100 tenants)!
Mike was transferred to Florida in 1998 and was referred to the Tampa Team at Coldwell Banker. Nancy Gribble and Debbie Mueller sold him a townhouse in South Tampa and the rest is history! Debbie Mueller-Zito is now Mikes wife. After being married a few years, he took the real estate exam for a third time in 2005 in order to help support and supplement Debbie's successful real estate business on weekends.
Mike will be retiring after thirty plus years with his company and is planning to dedicate more time to be able to work with Debbie at their new found home at Smith & Associates Real Estate.
Mike completed his BS degree in Business Administration from The University of Tennessee after spending his first two college years at The Pennsylvania State University. Mike has five grandchildren. He likes to play golf, go boating, he loves to jog and watch football and has won awards singing karaoke. Mike and Debbie moved to Broadwater in 2008 after living in Ballast Point for ten years. They truly know and love Tampa Bay!
